Hongqi has built ceremonial cars for the Chinese state since the 1950s, and the modern electric range carries that intent rather than abandoning it. The E-HS9 is a large, luxurious electric SUV with air suspension, an extensive assistance suite and a cabin full of powered systems — all of which need diagnostic access to service, and all of which are outside what a general workshop can reach. The cars are rare enough that finding someone equipped to work on them is the real difficulty.
