Yes. There is no engine oil to change, but brakes, suspension, steering, cooling and tyres all still wear — and an EV is heavier than the petrol car it replaced, so some of it wears faster. We inspect all of it at our Seeb workshop.
They need it for the opposite reason. Because the friction brakes are used lightly, discs and calipers can corrode or seize from lack of use. We service them, clean and free the sliders, and recalibrate the brake sensors.
Battery packs add several hundred kilograms, and instant torque adds to it. Bushes, dampers and tyres take that load. We tune suspension for the extra weight and check alignment, which is the single cheapest way to make EV tyres last.
Yes, and on an EV it matters more than comfort — the same thermal circuit often helps manage battery temperature. We diagnose HVAC faults, service the compressor and evaporator, and recharge the refrigerant system.
Once a year for most drivers, or every six months if the car covers long highway distances or spends time on unsealed roads. Heat and dust are harder on suspension and cooling components here than mileage alone suggests.
