Muscat is humid and sits on salt air; an hour inland at Nizwa the heat is dry; up on Jebel Akhdar it is cool enough to need a jacket. A pack driven over one weekend can see all three, and each of them stresses a different part of it.
For the NIO that matters, because it is designed around battery swapping, and there is no swap station between Muscat and Salalah — or anywhere else in Oman. We handle swap-designed packs serviced in place, plus NOMI and connected-feature activation in Muscat, and test the pack against all three conditions rather than the one the car happens to be parked in. Oman is not a short country. Salalah is close to a thousand kilometres from Muscat, and the charging between them thins out fast once you are past Nizwa. An electric car here has to be planned around in a way it simply does not in Doha or Dubai.
